Your breath is a wonderful tool in movement, even in life. The body has many ways of breathing, but without deep observation, we just breathe in the most basic way and are unaware of all the body's possibilities.

In this workshop you will learn several pranayama (breath) techniques and you have time to explore the effect of breathing on your practice. You’ll experience its sustaining force. After the pranayama practice we will move into a flow practice, including standing, hand balance and backbend poses.

This workshop we focus on working with bandhas:
Mula Bandha, Uddiyana Bandha and Jalandhara bandha
The term bandha refers to binding of consciousness into a particular direction. The bandhas support our yoga practice in being lighter and is very useful in strengthening concentration. In this workshop we will practice the pranayamas focusing on the direction through the bandhas. In the asana's flow part of the practice we experience the lightness and fluidity of the movement with more clarity when supported from the bandhas.
