The body, naturally, de-forms. As we go through life our physical weight, our emotional weight, our habits, shape our forms and influence how they function. A yoga practice without aim can reinforce our forms, never addressing what we may need to find center. This workshop will introduce an arsenal of tools and techniques all with the intention of redeveloping good form. Expect to be informed by your body and mind as you explore archetypal postures. You will learn to practice skillfully, not by pulling back harder on your bow, but by aiming your arrow.
Kerry’s practice shifted (as is often the case) while completing her 200-hour training with David Regelin and Ame Wren. Enchanted by arm balances and inversions, seeking depth and heat in her practice, she now seeks information, balance, and fulfillment. Likewise, she pursues these qualities for her students, and hopes to give them the tools to practice skillfully, evaluate their intentions, and explore their bodies and minds for center.
