For Beginners or Experienced Students
This workshop is ideal for anyone new to the practice of yoga, as well as experienced practitioners looking for an opportunity to explore the basics in a more thorough way.
Students will be introduced to some of the more common poses of yoga, with an emphasis on safe alignment. Individual attention can be provided if need be, through variations and modifications in order to make the poses more accessible for different bodies. While the course will focus primarily on the physical practice (asana), it will also offer an overview of the broader practice of yoga: students will be given an introduction to meditation, breath work and philosophy.
Class discussion is welcomed, and students are encouraged to ask questions, to ensure they have the confidence they need to move on to a regular personal practice.
