Functional Movement - 4 week series

Functional Movement develops mobility and dynamic stability of basic movement patterns. Tightness and weakness in the body is corrected in order to minimize risk of injury.

Full Description

Building a functionally strong body at any age requires learning purposeful movement patterns in order to reduce risk of injury. This series will follow a progression of exercises designed to improve breathing, mobility, core stability, coordination
and awareness/perception of how you move.

Rather than isolating body parts we will practice fundamental patterns needed for daily living to create movement capacity (strength, stamina etc), movement competency (skill) and movement variability (angles, elevations, body weight etc.) to correct movement dysfunction.

This is an all-levels course and a great starting point for transitioning into yoga or other fitness programs.
