Girls Preteen Yoga
Pre-teens and “tweens” are faced with unique challenges everyday. From adjusting to changing bodies, stressful school schedules, and the demands of peer pressure, our young girls are beginning to feel more stress as they make the move into adolescence. Yoga is a wonderful way to counteract that stress and gives young girls tools to cope.

In our Girls Preteen Yoga class we combine yoga with fun! Our class begins with a share circle for peer bonding. We then explore various breathing exercises and discuss ways to incorporate these techniques into stressful life situations. A yoga warm-up follows using flowing yoga postures to fun, age appropriate music.
Our 6-week session will include:
Peer bonding through games and share circles
Kids yoga class & partner poses
Yoga themed craft
Relaxation techniques & guided visualization
Journaling & self-reflection
Girls Yoga is offered as a 6-week session and advance registration is required. Class size is limited and pending on adequate student enrollment. Girls should wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement – sweat pants, shorts, yoga pants, leggings, or a dance leotard would be appropriate attire. Yoga mats and props are available for use.
$65 + $10 craft fee
