Led by Good Vibes Director and Founder Nahid de Belgeonne and popular Glow Pilates teacher Antonia Ptohides, this Pilates and yoga retreat will be held from 23rd – 25th January in the idyllic setting of Oxon Hoath Country Estate. In an ideal location, 45 minutes outside of London, this powerful and harmonising weekend offers a secluded and tranquil escape from the overwhelming buzz of everyday life.

Nahid de Belgeonne comments: “We spend very little time listening to what our body needs, which after a long week at work is usually downtime – a ‘me-tox’. This retreat will not only refocus the mind after the busy festive period, but will also rejuvenate and refresh the body readying it for the new-year. Most people have given up their diets by the end of January, but this boot camp pushes fads to the side and introduces long-term health and wellbeing.”

The Friday evening begins with soothing yoga utilising props to relax into the moment, releasing all stresses and strains from the week. Movement will drift to a close with yoga nidra – also known as yogic sleep – setting good intentions for the weekend and year ahead through a deep guided meditation.

Saturday morning kickstarts with a strong two hour long Pilates bootcamp that works the body from the inside out, promoting balance, length and strength and the evening ends with a further restorative session to encourage an even deeper release.

On Sunday the holiday closes with another challenging Pilates boot camp and a final restorative session to allow the body to open up and rid all tension and stress – those who practice restorative yoga lose twice the amount of weight than those who don’t. A balance of Yang (challenging physical Pilates) to Yin (restorative yoga to calm the emotions and mind) creates the perfect environment for a happy body.
