Feel like it is finally your turn to enjoy your own time after everybody else went on holiday? Then there is no better way than going to this yoga retreat in Portugal. With two classes a day, a combination of dynamic and slow flow, meditation, walks, discovery and visits, this week is promising to recharge your body and mind. Located in central Portugal in a peaceful heaven, this 100 year old manor house is surrounded with eucalyptus, pine, and cork oak trees far away from the noise. And with a salt swimming pool available, you can be sure to return fully rested. So what are you waiting for Girls on Travel? This seems like the perfect trip to exercise body and mind in a healthy way.
Arrival at Lisbon airport, transfer to the retreat.
Accomodation: Brejo Fundeiro Retreat
Morning: Dynamic Yoga session. A 90 minute vinyasa flow practice with heavy emphasis on the connection between movement and breath. Sun salutations followed by creative flows which will vary each day, shifting the focus of the practice to get an all rounded exploration of your body on the mat by the end of the week. Challenging balancing poses, deep stretches and a guided relaxation to close.
Evening: Slow Flow and Yin Yoga practice with essential oils. Combining long deep holds with essential oils after a gentle flow to warm up the body. These sessions will help you wind down at the end of your day, expanding your knowledge of essential oils and their benefits for your general health and wellbeing.
Morning and evening meditation session. A 30 minute silent seated meditation to start and close the day.
Chatarunga and Crow Pose Workshop. A 90 min workshop that will allow you to check your alignment in these challenging poses. Get a better understanding of how to keep your wrists, elbows and shoulders safe during your vinyasas, and how to fly in and out of Crow Pose.

Guided tour of Convento de Cristo
Brunch: Fresh fruit salad, muesli with home made yoghurt and Kefir, followed by a baked dish like Greek spinach pie, salad, 3 x tea infusions and a cold drink like home-made organic long life orange juice.
Afternoon cake with tea
Dinner: vegetarian dishes
The teacher: Anais is a Hatha Yoga teacher with years of experience as a gymnast and a dancer. Having trained in Mysore, India, her style is heavily influenced by Ashtanga yoga. Anais’s ever growing interest in meditation began after her training in Vipassana, which has inspired her to integrate meditation in all her sessions. Her classes aim to include everyone, they help increase your flexibility and strength, whilst creating a space of quiet contemplation.
Transfer back to airport and return home.
