Hormone Yoga Therapy was created by Dinah Rodrigues nearly 20 years ago. It is a holistic approach to activate the hormones. It works on both the physical and energetic bodies through a specific yoga series, breathing techniques and visualization. This therapy reactivates hormone levels by stimulating the ovaries, thyroid and parathyroid, the hypophysis and the adrenals.

WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM HYT?
Hormone yoga therapy is for women of all ages. This natural therapy not only helps eliminate the side effects of pre-menopause and menopause, but also benefits women and teenagers with hormonal disorders (PMS, irregular periods), as well as women having difficulties getting pregnant due to low hormone levels. By keeping hormone levels normal, HYT may also help prevent several age-related diseases such as osteoporosis and cardio-vascular disease.
WHAT ARE THE STUDIES SHOWING?
Statistically, female hormone levels start decreasing around the age of 40. By practicing HYT, hormone levels increase (estrogen raises an average of 250% in 3 to 4 months). Studies have shown that almost all physical and psychological side effects of pre-menopause and menopause will disappear. Side-effects include hot flashes, fatigue, decreased libido, dry mucus, stress, insomnia, panic attacks, migraines, crying spells, dry skin and dry hair.
With regard to women, due to the increase in the amount of estrogen during this practice, this class can not be followed by pregnant women, women suffering (or have suffered) from a hormone-dependent cancer or endometriosis.

Hormone Yoga Therapy for men is a form of yoga that focuses on the activation of hormone-producing glands. Based on the extremely positive results with women (100% of women regularly practicing felt the benefits), Dinah Rodrigues sinterested on the male endocrine glands and particularly related to the production of testosterone: The hypothalamus, the pituitary, testes, adrenals and thyroid.
The HYT uses simple postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and visualization. This series can be practiced by people of all ages.
BENEFITS FOR MEN
Hormonal imbalances can occur at any age. In general, from the age of 45 the level of testosterone begins to decline slowly and gradually and some physical and psychological symptoms are felt. Regular practice can strengthen, if necessary, to maintain and improve his virility.
There are two serious contraindications for men: prostate cancer and thyroid cancer. In case of operation (abdominal, lower abdomen ...), wait a few months and the student's physician permission to practice physical effort.

Kathy Wolff has been practicing yoga for over 15 years. She began with Ashtanga Vinyasa and Mysore style, which she still loves to practice regularly. She has participated in adjustment workshops and teacher trainings for the first and second series.
Over the years she has discovered and integrated other yoga styles that bring different benefits. She completed a 250-hour teacher training in Vinyasa Flow Yoga in India and an additional 50 hours in Yin Yoga with Biff Mithoefer. Four years ago, she discovered Hormone Yoga Therapy. She found the results tremendous and soon became certified by Dina Rodrigues in both the women's and men's series.
HYT is not widely known yet and Kathy’s desire is to teach and share this unique practice with as many women as possible.
