The youth of today face many challenges. With the demands of school, extra-curricular activities, obligations with family and friends, and the addition of technology, kids need to learn more now than ever how to slow down, pause, and take a breath. A yoga and mindfulness practice can provide children with the tools necessary to navigate through life's challenges with greater ease.
In this workshop teachers and support staff will learn to guide children through simple breathing techniques they can do anytime, yoga moves they can practice right in their chairs or any seated position, games that support focus and concentration and simple relaxation techniques children can practice during the day and at night before bedtime. Finally, we’ll learn self-care practices that will create greater resiliency, allowing us to be the best version of ourselves.
