HYTA 12 week Yoga Philosophy Course
In order to keep the essence of yoga, you have to understand where it comes from, how it works and why it is different. The yogis also developed some pretty awesome ways to enhance memory and general mind power. This the essence that will be covered over 12 weeks. ** Each term is optional, but all 4 terms will be required for full Teacher Training

History & Philosophy of Yoga:
Students will touch on the history of yoga, understand how yoga came to its current mainstream form, and learn about the basic principles and content of related texts.
Yoga Concentration & Memory Practices:
Skills and knowledge will be developed around the yogic methods to enhance memory and concentration.
Yoga in Relation to Spiritual Growth:
Students will develop an understanding of how yoga supports their spiritual path.
Yoga in Relation to Exercise:
Students will explore the differences between stretching and yoga.
Yoga in Relation to Religion
Students will come to understand how yoga relates to religion.
