Charlie has been practicing yoga for almost 15 years, initially from a work-out perspective. Following a life-changing trip to the Himalayan Yoga Institute in India, she decided to leave the corporate rat race and deepen her knowledge of yoga further. She became a certified teacher in Bali with WLYA (affiliated to The Yoga Institute of Santacruz, Mumbai, India – the world’s oldest organized yoga institution) and went on to set up her own studio. The Glo! Juice Cleanse
We are thrilled to be bringing you this gogashala in association with Glo! - one of London's most exciting new juice bars. Jamie Meek will be at the helm, making and guiding you through your freshly made juices every single day. He is an absolute don and knows everything there is to know. So how will it all work? The Glo! juice cleanse is perfect for those new to this style of fasting as well as those seasoned juicers. Carefully constructed to fit in with Charlie's yoga, Jamie has chosen the perfect menu for us - a varied and balanced, giving you a wide variety of wonderful plant based colours, all from organic/local or fair-trade produce. Juices will be prepared for you and served at regular intervals, including 2 smoothies a day as well as a tasty home made nut milk. Jamie will also be using spirulina, wheatgrass, maca, chia seeds, and flax oil. All great to either aid with detoxification or give an energy boost. Exactly what Charlie's yoga will be focusing on too!
It is so important that your body goes into and comes out of a cleanse like this properly. Jamie has devised a pre-cleanse dinner and post-cleanse breakfast to do exactly that.
A typical day will look like this:
4 x freshly pressed juices and smoothies
1 x home made nut milk
1 x SOS (piece of fruit or something raw)
1 x apple & ginger shot
1 x warm water and lemon
Herbal teas, electrolytes, psyllium husks and water available throughout the day.
