Yogi Ashokananda spent many years practising and training with Indian masters to create his own forms of yoga and meditation which have their roots in classical ancient Indian tradition.
This weekend retreat will introduce you to a complete inclusive practice of “yoga” in the truest sense of the word- which combines asana practice with meditation, pranayama and advice on diet and lifestyle, amongst other principles. Yogi will combine his signature styles of yoga in the form of Himalayan Hatha and Prana Kriya Yoga with the most profound yet simple forms of meditation to help you to discover YOU. You will develop physical strength with an attention to maintaining inner mental and psychological strength with the asanas, and acceptance of yourself whilst transforming and cleansing the body and mind on every level.
Using breath awareness within each posture, you will also understand the counterforce of individual asanas without losing the strength of the body. You will also explore the use of bandhas and mudras through the practice giving you mental strength as well as physical.
Each day will incorporate meditation and pranayama aligning the power of the universe with your own individual reality, dissolving any conflict between your inner and outer world.
