January is normally a time to reflect on what the past year stirred up for our growth and what we want to change as we enter a new decade both personally and professionally. Explore how to enhance, reframe, and balance your physiological, physiological, and emotional state.
Optimum thinking is more than just positive thinking and positive psychology which often falls short for many in reaching their goals. So what is the trick? Well in the latter part of this workshop we will have 30 minutes to contemplate, discuss the difference and journal the hacks that can help you remove any mental blocks and help get you on your way to what you want to create for 2020.
In first part of the workshop will come together to lay the foundations to enable us to observe our blocks physically. We’ll do this by approaching some of the basic and well known poses in a different way to experience cultivating and recognising space, resilience and willingness in a unique way. This segment of practice will be a blend of Katonah Yoga is a Hatha Yoga practice which is based upon Sacred Geometry developed by Nevine Michaan in upstate New York over 40 years ago. Which endeavours to provide a different road map into uncovering and reconnecting to the potential that lays within each and everyone one of us.
You’ll experience well-aligned asana with precise postural alignment promoting a deeper architectural awareness. Mindful and well paced combination of fluid and static movements help cultivate the qualities of effort and grace - the ebb and flow - the duality of life. Cross-lateral, lateral and, asymmetrical movements with long Yin style holds help to create space in the joints as well as the muscles. Cognitively snapping the brain out of automated mode and possible blocks, improving memory and, focus. Options will be given also to pulsate in certain poses which targets and builds strength through the core muscles and helps cultivate a better connection between legs, pelvis, and core. Cultivating a great sense of strength, poise and stability.
