Intro to Ashtanga Workshop
If you're looking for a way to build on to an existing practice and learn more about another style of active yoga, the Intro to Ashtanga workshop is just for you.
Type of Event
Learn about the theory of Ashtanga Yoga as we make our way through the first half of the Primary Series (Yoga Chikitsa). The Ashtanga yoga system synchronizes movement, breath and focus, creates internal heat to detoxify the body, and increases the well-being of mind and body. You will be provided with handouts and instructions to learn the basics of the primary series so you can develop your own home practice.
Both Andrea and Tanya have an established ashtanga practice and have both trained with Manju Jois, the son of Sri Pattabhi Jois who developed the method of Ashtanga.
Both teachers will be there to assist and share their knowledge of this practice.
