This workshop will introduce breathing techniques (pranayama) to prepare the body and mind for meditation.
We will begin with some gentle movements to loosen the body, followed by several different pranayama practices and finish with a relaxing seated meditation and restorative pose.

Learn to calm the monkey mind and instill a deep inner peace through yoga.
This yoga workshop is designed to give the practitioner a glimpse into several different pranayama practices; including supine belly breathing, khapalabhati, anuloma viloma, brahmari and more.
The benefits and contraindications will also be briefly discussed regarding each practice.
Following the pranayama exercises, we will practice a relaxing partially guided, partially silent meditation.
We'll conclude with a supported restorative pose and a tranquil guided practice of Dirga Swasam Pranayama.
Yoga teachers can earn 2 hours of CEU's with Yoga Alliance.
