Introduction to Meditation
Date(s): February 9, February 23 and March 9.
Time: 2:00pm-4:00pm Saturday afternoons
Location: TAYS, 6156 Quinpool Road, Suite 202, Halifax, NS

Cost: Early Bird $55+tax by January 31 (Regular $60+tax)

This workshop series, 3 sessions each 2 hours will provide you with a good overview and insight into meditation practice, as well as, many guided meditation sessions.

This workshop will help you to learn how to establish and sustain a daily mindfulness meditation practice.

Seated, reclining and walking meditations among others will be covered during the workshop series.

Helen Fong has been practicing meditation for many years. She has received extensive training in Halifax and Vancouver. She will be offering this workshop series at Therapeutic Approach Yoga Studio to introduce you to mindfulness meditation.

No prior or experience in mediation is required to come and benefit from this workshop.

These aspects of mindfulness meditation will be covered over the 3 sessions:

Session 1: February 9
meditation and the breath
meditation and the body

Session 2: February 23
meditation and the emotions
meditation and thinking

Session 3: March 9
meditation and the mind
meditation and daily life

Session outline
Each session will start with a seated guided meditation.
Followed by training on two aspects of meditation (above).
Guided Walking Meditation
Reclined Meditation (Body Scan & Yoga Nidra)
