Full Description

It is well-evidenced that regular meditation leads to increased well-being and effectiveness in the world. It’s a training that leads to spiritual development. Practising in a group aids focus and supports a regular home practice. Encouraging and practical, the workshop includes:

- practice with a range of techniques including mantra repetition
- theory and reference to the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali
- how to sit
- concentration
- how to develop a regular practice and go deeper

When I booked my Meditation Course, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I am highly engaged and excited by the physical side of yoga, but always felt I was missing something from the practice – disliking many of my yoga classes for being half yoga and half personal training session. So I decided to get more involved in the meditative/mental aspects of yoga by signing up for Fiona’s meditation course. Spending time with Fiona was like hanging out with an old friend and everything she described about meditation kept me strongly engaged. It helped that I was really interested and excited about the topics, but she complemented that by having answers to all my questions, and usually just left with me with more questions and ideas. Since the workshop I have been practising meditation alongside my yoga practice and have been feeling much calmer, more in control of my anxieties and generally more centred. Thanks Fiona!
