Introduction to Mysore Practice
4 week course introducing the fundamental principles of Mysore Practice.

Students can use class passes, enroll in all 4 sessions for $50 or drop-in to any session for $14.
In this 4-week course, students will be introduced to the traditional Ashtanga Yoga Mysore Practice as taught by the late Shri K. Pattabhi Jois. We will break down the traditional chants to learn both their literal and figurative meanings and how to pronounce the Sanskrit words. We will discuss the format of a Mysore class and the purposes of practicing with this method. The classes will have structured guidance to help students learn to pace their practice as well as individualized guidance for working with particular postures and moving with the breath.
Students will be given sequence references to use to guide them through the Primary (or Secondary) Series. This class will build over 4 weeks, but students may also attend individual sessions. Class passes are valid for this course.
