Inversions & Arm Balances Workshop
Change your Perspective; Turn your World Upside Down!
If you've ever wanted to change your perspective and advance your yoga practice, inversions are a great way to do just that! By practicing inversions, you’ll gain confidence as you strengthen the body and focus the mind.
Type of Event
Whether a beginner or a longtime yogi, we’ll help you deepen your skill and awareness of inversions and explore a variety of poses in a small group setting (you get to choose which poses are best for you. We simply ask that you come willing to consider possibilities…a great metaphor for life!).
We will work on the strength and flexibility needed for inversions, develop core awareness and discover proper alignment for floating and flying.
You will be guided through the preparatory poses of classical inversions and taught how to develop the strength and confidence to attempt more challenging poses as your practice deepens. There is no pressure to take poses further until ready. We will also learn which poses are contraindicated for certain health conditions ( heart-related problems, neck and spine injuries, eye problems such as glaucoma).
We will learn to use the wall, or a buddy, as a way to continue practicing inversions beyond this class. Let go of the fear, we are here to support!
It will be a fun time without competition or judgment!
