Iyengar Yoga Beginners Retreat
The program of classes focuses students on the correct use of the body to ensure they feel energised and supported in their practice The program is sequenced to include open sided standing poses, seated twists, forward bends and some introductory backbends and inversions.
Type of Event
10 Hours of classes. Schedule is Friday evening 5.30pm - 7.30; Saturday morning 9am - 12 and Saturday afternoon 4pm - 6pm and Sunday morning 9am - 12.
Couples rate is $380 for yoga classes and accommodation.
The Retreat Inn apartment is fully set up with all linen, kitchen and laundry appliances, yoga library and is 2 minutes walk to the beach and shops.
On the Saturday morning a brief presentation is given to students about the Iyengar method of Yoga which is classical hatha yoga. The weekend retreat is a great way to experience the effects of yoga on the mind and the body.
Small groups of friends find the retreat experience especially memorable because there is time to reflect and discuss how we each encounter yoga in special and uniquely challenging and inspirational ways.
