HOW ?
Ashiyana is like living in a tropical paradise with lush greenery everywhere, it feels like being in a rain forrest, which immediately nourishes the soul. Waking up amongst the canopies and being surrounded by nature and wildlife, with 360 degrees gorgeous views is a good way to start the day with the beach just a hop, skip and jump away across the bridge. Mandrem in North Goa, has one of the longest, flattest stretches of beach which is perfect for long sunset walks, morning jogs or just to dance, play beach volley ball and while away a few hours in between classes.
The food at Ashiyana is light and balanced and unlike a lot of India, you will see piles of exotic fruit salads, fresh greens, salads and goodness being created, as well as a weekly seafood or fresh fish dish, usually fired in their Tandoori ovens which are to die for, as well as more traditional south indian fare. The menu, which is served in a buffet help yourself style affair, is consumed in shared communal dining areas and a silent area should you wish for some quiet time.
As well as the morning yoga practice, the evenings will combine a lighter more restorative flow session and always come coupled with a guest teacher or workshop, including Acro Yoga, Contemporary dance, Taichi & Restorative, Healing and African dance.
Also on hand to send you home feeling re-charged are a huge team of body workers, nutritionists, and ayurvedic doctors who will be able to create a bespoke package if you wished to detox or work on anything specific whilst at the venue.
Mandrem is also very close to the shopping mecca that is the night market! As a group we will take a trip into the mayhem of the Saturday night market to check out the local goodies and take a little retail therapy, as well as explore the local restaurants, live music and beach parties that the area is renowned for.
