Full Description

The retreat is open to all. If you are new to yoga, the retreat will give you a strong foundation, or if you are looking to deepen your practice, you will benefit from focused attention to develop your strengths and weaknesses. The classical Hatha Yoga teachings include authentic pranayama, asana and meditation from the Sivananda tradition.

Fresh healthy food, Ayurvedic treatments and trips to a wildlife park, ancient monuments and temple festivals. Stopping along the way to sample local dishes such as Thali’s or Masala Dosa.

The retreat is a little paradise in Varkala, Kerala. Only a few minutes stroll to a number of stunning beaches and a 10 minute walk from the endless rows of quaint shops and huts lining the cliff, stocking everything from jewellery to handicrafts. Enjoy the choice of various restaurants, shopping or a game of beach football or volleyball.

Visit the motherland of Yoga and Ayurveda and let your senses be inspired and your soul soothed. Connect your mind and body together with the ocean and sunshine. Experience the warmth and serenity in this truly wonderful and vibrant location that is India!

TAMSIN teaches classical Hatha Yoga at her retreat venue Little French Retreat and trained with Sivananda in India. Her approach is relaxed, appreciating the simplicity of yoga and how it helps you to feel balanced and understand that we’re already perfect. You don’t have to be ‘good’ or ‘flexible’ in postures, it’s about learning to breath properly, relax fully and to be kind with yourself. She offers a yoga practice that is designed to take you into a deeper understanding with your true self, connecting and balancing the mind and body with ease. A powerful class that begins with the practice of pranayama and meditation leading into a gentle flowing asana practice, resulting in being left restored and relaxed. She first discovered yoga in her early twenties with Sivananda in London and instantly loved the way it made her feel. Having practiced varying styles of yoga she took her 200 hours Teacher Training Certificate with Sivananda in the Himalayas and has since spent time in ashrams in France and India to deepen her knowledge of yoga, before setting up Little French Retreat.
