Leave behind anxiety, stress, and distractions and deepen into a greater ease and wholeness.
Type of Event
A day retreat to go in, repair, and strengthen.
Facilitated by Ruby Renshaw & Juli Somers.
Kintsugi is a Japanese method for repairing broken ceramics with a special lacquer mixed with gold, silver, or platinum. The piece is repaired in a way that makes the container even more valuable than it was prior to being broken.
The cracks become the most interesting aspect; making the entire vessel strong and enhancing its inherent beauty. Perfect imperfection.
We all get broken in one way or another in this life. It’s an unavoidable part of living.
Sometimes we get stuck in the brokenness and never heal. Or we try to pretend the brokenness is not there.
We can make those places stronger than they were before. It is then that our scars can deepen and strengthen us and lead to a profound wholeness.
Strengthen your nervous and immune systems to heal the heart with meditations and exercises, yoga, nature, and breathwork.
“I must learn to love the fool in me — the one who feels too much, talks too much, takes too many chances, wins sometimes and loses often, lacks self-control, loves and hates, hurts and gets hurt, promises and breaks promises, laughs and cries. It alone protects me against that utterly self-controlled, masterful tyrant whom I also harbor and who would rob me of my human aliveness, humility, and dignity but for my Fool.” — Theodore Isaac Rubin
