Living The Eight Limbs of Purna Yoga
Aadil Palkhivala will once again share his knowledge and wisdom of both asana, philosophy and life in this full day workshop.
Type of Event
Lunch break from 13:00 to 15:00
The Limbs of yoga prescribe a system, developed and tested through millenia -- for the discovery and emergence of our true selves.
They begin with ethical precepts (yamas and niyamas), then build on the awakening of the body (asana) and breath (pranayama). By practicing the asanas with awareness, as we free the body, we progressively master and free the mind as well.
This process of reclaiming our inner selves continues in the more advanced limbs of Yoga: pratyahara (sense-withdrawal), dharana (concentration), dhyana (meditation), and ultimately, samadhi (communion with the Self).
In this workshop, Aadil will focus on the first four limbs of Yoga and introduce the latter four, giving participants the necessary tools for expanding and deepening their practice into the true fullness of Yoga.
The workshop runs from 10:00 to 13:00, with a lunch break and continues from 15:00 to 18:00
