Of course you can, depending on availability. Check in/Check out is strictly Mondays,
Wednesdays and Fridays but if you wish to stay in this paradise before and after the retreat then
by all means contact Casa de Laila and enquire on availability.
I don't know anyone coming, do I have to share a tent?
Tents are priced on 2 people sharing a night. They can accommodate up to 3 people (3 single
beds or 1 double and 1 single). If you wish to have your own tent, subject to availability, a single
supplement of €45 per night will be charged.
I don't know anyone coming but I'm happy to share a tent. Is this possible?
Subject to availability if there are other solo participants of the retreat we can arrange for you to
share a tent in 2 or 3 single beds with other people attending.
I don't like camping what are the facilities like?
The resort is a glamping (glamourous camping) resort with 6 bell tents dotted around the area.
These are all close but not too close a distance to the pool, dining area, kitchenette, showers and
toilets. All are accessible by small gravel paths. Inside the tents are furnished with real beds, fresh
linen, towels, toiletries and small seating area. There is ample space for your luggage to be laid
out. Please note there are no wardrobes, electricity or washing facilities within the tents. Each tent
comes equipped with candle lit lighting, a clothes line, hammock and outdoor seating area. Close
by there are toilets, an outdoor shower and indoor showers also. There is also a kitchenette with
sink, fridge, fresh drinking water, honesty bar, basic cooking facilities and dining area. Here you
can use electrical goods, recharge phones etc. This is adjacent to the lush pool surrounded by
beautiful flowers and vegetation. There is ample lounge area around the pool with chairs,
loungers and sofas for your comfort.
I'm not a Vegetarian can I eat meat there?
3 meals a day plus snacks will be provided. These will all be vegetarian and prepared in house by
the wonderful owner AnneMarie and her team. AnneMarie has been running Pachamama
Catering for almost six years now. Pachamama lovingly prepare delicious 100% vegetarian meals
using only seasonal fresh produce and fully organic, raw and vegan options are of course
available. They offer a unique dining experience which we can assure you will leave your taste
buds tingling and belly satisfied. Trust me I have eaten this food many times and, as a meat eater
myself, I never once felt hungry, unsatisfied or longing for meat!
However, there is a kitchenette with a fridge and basic cooking facilities so if you really want to
you can buy some meat in the local supermarket (20 min walk/5 minute drive) and prepare this
yourself at your own cost. This food must be eaten in the kitchenette and not at the dining area
with the others (for hygiene purposes).
We at Anam Solas yoga do encourage you, for the duration of the retreat, to try all the wonderful
food on offer. 3 days meat free will give a wonderful rest to your digestive system and allow all the
benefits of the yoga practise you do to have their full effect.
I want to rent a car, are there secure parking facilities?
Yes, the resort is in a quiet residential area with very little through traffic. The resort is enclosed
with one main electronic gate only opened by key or code. There is ample space for car parking
just a short distance from the main house and tents.
Is it suitable for elderly/infirm/wheelchair user?
Unfortunately, the resort is not suitable for anyone who has trouble walking, quite elderly or in a
wheel chair. Set on the hillside there are many levels to the resort connected by a few steps and
gravel paths therefore cannot accommodate anyone who requires assistance walking or getting
I'm not that good at yoga can I still come?
The retreat is aimed at people who are beginners or at intermediate level of yoga. It is suggested
you have taken some yoga classes before (just so you are aware of what it will be like) but there
is no prerequisite to be able to touch your toes or stand on your head! We can accommodate
injuries or any other fitness related issues (please contact us before booking to discuss). The aim
is you will leave the retreat feeling amazing and having developed your own personal yoga
Do I have to attend all the classes?
No. All classes are optional. We are all adults and we trust you can make your own decisions
about attending. However, we do encourage you to attend as much as possible as the 3 day
retreat will be timed and scheduled for you receive the most benefits. There will be ample free
time for you to relax, rest, read, switch off, sun bathe, make new friends, explore the area and feel
like you've had a holiday!
What will the weather be like? Is there air conditioning?
The typical weather for the region in June is 2530 degrees Celsius. There is no electricity in the
tents but each one is located in the shade of the many Orange and Fruit trees that grow around
the resort. They all have insect nets and so you can leave the sides open during the day (and
night!) to allow the air to circulate. I myself was in the resort in the height of summer last August
and found it very comfortable.
What do I need to wear?
Whatever clothing you typically wear for classes will be just fine. The weather will be warm and
we hope to have you detoxing and heating up in the classes! However, each tent has their own
washing line so you can easily rinse out any yoga clothes and have them dry in the sunshine for
that evening's class. Any clothing that is comfortable and allows you to move will be just fine.
What do I need to bring?
Bed linen, towels and basic toiletries will be provided. However, I would suggest you bring the
following, as well as any personal items you require:
Swim wear, Suncream, Hat/Hairband, Sun glasses
Yoga clothes and flip flops/sandals (for walking to and from class)
Sweat towel to be used during class
Notebook and pen (if you wish to jot down any notes)
Comfortable day wear for around the pool or an excursion and night wear for dinner. Please note
this is a relaxed venue with no dress codes or formality. Casual clothes and summer wear is
perfectly appropriate. Due to the landscape of the venue and gravel paths high heels are not
Any medication you regularly take (please inform us of any healthy issues you have)
 Passport and all travel documents!
 Books, Kindle, any reading material
 Personal toiletries
Mosquito/Insect spray. I recommend using Citronella oil which is a natural deterrent
Head torch or small hand held torch (if you don't have one on your phone) as there is candles
and matches in each tent (including a fire extinguisher!) but these can be useful if you'd prefer not
to light the candles
Alarm clock if you don't have one on your phone and the sunrise and birds singing aren't enough
to get you going!
Is the resort safe and secure?
The resort is in a quiet residential area with very little through traffic. The resort is enclosed with
one main electronic gate only opened by key or code. Each tent has their own security deposit
box within the main house to store any personal belongings. There will be a maximum of 18
participants and 45 staff at any one time and so you should feel safe and secure as well as your
property.
