Manage chronic pain with yoga, breathing and guided relaxation
This workshop will focus on the modern theory of pain science and the implications for your chronic pain. You will learn the latest ideas about persistent pain and your experience of it, along with beneficial yoga movements, breathing practices and relaxation techniques which can help you understand, manage and potentially reduce your pain.
Type of Event
The workshop is ideal for anyone with chronic or persistent pain who is looking for ways to help manage and overcome their experience of pain. You should have enough mobility to be able to sit (on a chair or on a yoga mat with blocks) and undertake gentle yoga movements from a range of lying, sitting and standing positions. There will be periods of discussion, movement, guided meditation and relaxation. There will also be a short break with refreshments provided.
