April 30th: Massage Balls: Breathe in, Bliss Out

This session is designed for Do you sometimes have trouble finding the “off switch” to your racing thoughts? Does you body feel tense in anticipation of your daily stresses? Do you have trouble going to bed on time or falling asleep?

In this massage balls workshop, you will decelerate your nervous system, soothe your body’s tension patterns and habituate stillness & receptivity of body & mind.

In this workshop you will:
• Unburden your body’s high-tension regions with head-to-toe self-massage using Yoga Tune Up Therapy Balls.
• Indulge in blissful restorative poses that invite spaciousness into your newly kneaded, untangled muscles, fascia and connective tissues.
• Journey deeper inward with simple, guided breathing techniques to further sedate mind-body tension patterns.
• Re-set your nervous system with Yoga Nidra, a progressive muscle relaxation meditation.
• Float out feeling expansive, rejuvenated and restored.

Laurel Beversdorf
Known for her passionate, fun, and student-centered teaching, Laurel's enthusiasm and curiosity for the nuts and bolts of human movement is infectious. By facilitating embodied discoveries in her students, the anatomical knowledge they glean inspires greater appreciation and reverence for the complexity and mystery of the human form and is immediately applicable to practicing in a more sustainable and meaningful way. Laurel has studied and taught asana through the lens of anatomy extensively. Her devotion to understanding the body more deeply led her to take part in a week long cadaver dissection workshop with Gil Hedley of Integral Anatomy. In addition, Laurel is E-RYT and guides aspiring teachers as a 200 and 500hr level teacher trainer for YogaWorks. A collaborating developer of the YogaWorks Teacher Training curriculum, Laurel co-authored the 200hr level Practice Teaching manual. Her anatomy articles have appeared in Yoga Life, Women's Health and Fitness and the Yoga Tune Up® blog. Learn more about Laurel at
