#MeToo: Trauma Informed Practice

The #metoo movement has brought light to the magnitude of experiences of sexual abuse, harassment, and assault of millions globally. For many it becomes something unspoken, kept private, and something to be ashamed of acknowledging. You are Not Alone. Individual healing = Community healing

Full Description

The #metoo movement has brought light to the magnitude of experiences of sexual abuse, harassment, and assault of millions globally. For many it becomes something unspoken, kept private, and something to be ashamed of acknowledging. You are Not Alone. Individual healing = Community healing
Join Nikki Immediato, LMHC and Julie Jenkins, E-RYT200 for a Trauma-Informed Yoga practice. This workshop is intended to provide a venue for survivors to become acquainted with and reclaim their bodies, helps them become grounded in the present moment, and allow them to explore the benefits of mindfulness as they flow breath to movement in guided trauma-informed practice and meditation. Together we will explore the deeper meaning behind strength and pain, and allow survivors to build community in a safe, supported, and peaceful environment.

Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 1-3pm. Snacks, tea and time for questions following until 4pm. Early bird pricing through 1/6/19 is $25. After 1/6/19 the price is $30. Scholarships offered based on need. Proceeds benefit the #MeToo movement.
