2 days of Yoga around the theme of the Pancha Maya, the 5 aspects of who we are. Plus Saturday evening session of gentle practice and fire ceremony to mark the Summer Solstice.
A midsummer yoga weekend of peaceful space to reconnect to your mind, body and subtle self in the beautiful restful environment of the Chiltern Hills and Chartridge Lodge Hotel & Conference Centre.
The focus for the weekend is the ancient yoga Pancha Maya model that we are more than just the body. We comprise 5 aspects or layers - body, energy, mind, deeper wisdom and bliss - each more subtle/energetic. These layers subconsciously influence our experiences and view of life.
You will be guided on a journey through these layers with a combination of practices including yoga asana, pranayama (breathing techniques), meditation, relaxation and energy practices. On Saturday evening we will mark midsummer with a gathering around the fire and enjoy the beauty of a peaceful, summer evening.

With short refreshments breaks and a longer break for a leisurely lunch and walk, rest or chat as you prefer.
Midsummer Retreat Details
2 days of Yoga practices using body, sound, energy and meditation with Barbara Dancer and Suzan J Wells.
Delicious vegetarian lunch Saturday and Sunday in The Barn. Please advise of any specific dietary requirements.
Hotel accommodation with breakfast on Sunday morning in Chartridge Lodge.
Comfortable accommodation in Chartridge Lodge Hotel & Conference Centre with full use of their facilities - communal areas, bar, restaurant, grounds as you choose. Three room options are available at Chartridge - single, double room or king-size bedroom. Enjoy the countryside surrounding the Conference Centre or within the grounds.
Non-residential option available
Evening meal on Saturday is not included. Choose your own in Chartridge Lodge’s The Oak Tree Restaurant (modern Indian) or in the bar which serves bar meals.
