What will we do?
After a short meet-up with the participants and an introduction by the trainer we will continue this workshop with a Mind-Walk® in the Yoga Forest, followed by a relaxing Yin Yoga practice on the Yogadeck.
What is Mind-Walk®?
During Mind-Walk® we combine different mindful walking techniques with exercises from Yoga, Mindfulness training, Tai Chi, Relaxation, Meditation and Breathing. You will give conscious attention to your head and body. Putting your body in motion, and sometimes you consciously stand still. The same applies to your head and your thoughts. Sometimes a bit of movement and then bring it to rest. A beautiful alternation between effort and relaxation. A unique way of walking that contributes to your balance and vitality.
What is Yin Yoga?
Yin Yoga is a slower-paced, more meditative version of yoga. In Yin Yoga the poses are held for a longer period of time (up to several minutes) to target the connective tissues (such as the ligaments, joints, bones and the deep fascia networks of the body) rather than focusing on the muscles. The poses are held with the muscles fully relaxed, allowing time and gravity to deepen the stretch and target the fascia. Yin Yoga improves flow of energy (chi) in the connective tissues of the body which can improve organ health, immunity, and emotional well-being. Yin Yoga creates more space in body and mind and also contributes to your balance and vitality.
Who will be guiding the workshop?
This unique workshop will be guided by Ingrid Daemen. Ingrid is Dutch and is at the moment based in both the Netherlands and Switzerland where she lives and works as an (international) Yin Yoga teacher, Mind-Walk® Trainer and Vitality Coach. Ingrid loves to travel and is very interested in sharing her Yin Yoga and Mind-Walk® during her travels. After falling in love with Tuscany (and more specially the area of Lucca) recently, she will be visiting Tuscany again for several weeks in May where she will bes haring this workshop in Canyon Park.
