Full Description

An elegant marriage of two inward, quiet, harmonizing practices. In this workshop we will intertwine Yin Yoga and Mindfulness Meditation (or; "the Mindfulness practice") to promote an inner state of connection and well being.

As days move into the Yin time of the year, long nights and cold temperatures, as the wonderful and stressful holidays approach, give yourself the opportunity to cultivate the rejuvenating practices of Yin and Mindfulness.

Yin yoga
A quiet, inward practice that uses gentle long held postures with an attitude of compassionate acceptance to awaken our deeper selves; the Yin parts of our physical, emotional and physical selves.
Yin keeps the body supple at its core, a wonderful practice for both quieting the active mind and encouraging the prana to consistently flow through the meridians, promoting the balancing of the subtle body while supporting the health of the physical body.

The essence of a committed yoga practice is meditative focus and awareness. Developing and sustaining a formal meditation practice can be a continual source of insight, rejuvenation and compassion. It is a practice that can reveal and disempower our negative, fragmented aspects while cultivating access to our essential nature.
This workshop will focus on long held, passive Yin postures that prepare the body for sitting meditation and integration of the Mindfulness practice which cultivates meditative awareness. Interweaving the cultivation of the subtle body through yin poses and pranayama, while setting the stage to quiet the mind for the practice of Mindfulness meditation.

This workshop is suitable for anyone interested in taking their practice to an increased level of awareness and stillness, both inside and out.
