Meditative and therapeutic movement helps us to embrace our embodiment, and to realise that mindfulness is the natural state of awareness of a body that has recognised and learned how to experience its feeling presence.
Awareness arises when we are able to relax into the essence of our being. This new awareness can have a profound effect on our outlook on life, our decision making processes and our degree of happiness. To find a sense of peace and calm in our demanding and busy lives is not simply a luxury, it is essential for our wellbeing.
In this 2-hour workshop led by Wilmien Bos we will explore Mindfulness through various forms of movement including flowing yoga sequences, Qi Gong static stances, and walking meditation. It will be an exploration into the subtle energy body, the layers of the mind, and the emotions attached to those layers - equipping you with practical tools that can be used in your daily yoga or meditation practices (as well as off the mat in your daily life) to bring mindfulness into all your activities, both in stillness and in motion.
