Description:

Mindfulness meditation is an ancient method for cultivating self-knowledge. Rather than manipulating our experience, mindfulness is about cultivating an unbiased mind that is open and can fully be with right now; whatever your life's current conditions.

Mindfulness meditation involves various techniques to help develop our innate qualities of stability, clarity and strength to experience greater awareness. The practice allows us to pause our instant reaction and have clearer thoughts to respond. It is a simple technique but very effective.

This workshop will include:
- techniques for meeting and navigating emotions
- the role mindfulness plays in communication and interaction
- short meditation sessions
- movement, stretching and walking
- introduction on instructing mindfulness mediation
- developing skills for leading and guiding classes
safety: contradictions and who this practice may not be suited to
- how to set 'the tone' before, during and after meditation

Continuing education credits available on request.
Ongoing mentorship available.

Cost: $175 before 9/2, $200 thereafter
