Mindfulness Meditation Workshop

I’ll be taking you through various types of guided meditation, breathing & relaxation is especially beneficial for those who find it challenging to be still and meditate on their own.

This 2 hour workshop is for anyone who would like to start incorporating meditation into their lives as a regular practice.

What to Bring
Please wear loose comfortable clothing and bring some water and a yoga mat ( I have spares ). It may be an idea to bring a cushion for meditation.

Meditation
I'll be guiding you through a meditation practice in a very quiet, peaceful environment.

Benefits of meditation:
The cells in the body receive more oxygen and other nutrients are absorbed in abundance.

It improves concentration as it strengthens the mind. For example, professional athletes have seen sports performance levels increase immensely due to a regular meditation practice.

It increases the activity of ‘natural killer cells’ which destroy bacteria and cancerous cells. Remember, disease does not survive in oxygen.

As it makes the immune system stronger and lowers blood lactate levels, this helps reduce anxiety.

It increases the blood flow and slows down the heart rate, which helps regulate the blood pressure
.
It stimulates serotonin levels. Serotonin is known as the ‘happy’ hormone found naturally in the human brain. Serotonin is responsible for transmitting nerve impulse.

In general, someone who practices meditation for a long period of time has a much calmer and relaxed outlook on life.

If you are a sufferer of PMT (pre-menstrual tension), there has been a direct link showing that meditation helps reduce the erratic thought-patterns which accompany the symptoms. As you meditate, the mind quietens and you become less attached to irrational thoughts, thus balancing the emotions.

Breathing
We'll be practicing ancient Yogic breathing techniques ( pranayama ) with my guidance.

Relaxation
We'll finish off in a soothing relaxation. I'll be using hypnotherapy techniques ( Yoga nidra ) to help you relax deeply.

My workshops welcome all levels of practitioners. No previous experience is necessary. So come with an open mind and an open heart. If you expect nothing and accept everything, you'll start living in the magic flow of life <3

You'll leave this workshop feeling very calm, centred and much more grounded. Be prepared to feel high, happy and get a very restful nights sleep. If you meditate daily, you'll notice a huge difference in your well being. I'm only speaking from my own transformational experience.
