As you know mental health is a big issue affecting all women, especially women of color and Black Girl Health is really passionate about being a resource to the community. Black Girl Health Foundation, Inc is a non-profit that is geared to helping women and girls of color live healthier lifestyles through education, engagement and empowerment. We have partnered with the Dauphin County Library Systems, Harrisburg Housing Authority, and the National Library of Medicine/National Institutes of Health for the “Mind’s Matter” mental health campaign. The campaign aims to spread awareness about mental health stigma among women of color and provide solutions and resources to overcome mental health issues. It includes 6 FREE mental health workshops for the PA community. Our workshops target underserved communities and low-income residents. The workshop series features doctors, therapists and yoga instructors, as well as holistic healers.
