Patanjali’s yoga sutras list the physical practice of yoga as one step on the way toward stilling the mind and recognizing the true Self.

In this workshop, we’ll prepare the body for meditation with a gentle, therapeutic yoga practice, focusing on releasing the shoulders, neck and hips. Then we’ll ease into the stillness of meditation with a generous savasana and pranayama.

All levels of yoga practitioners welcome. No experience with meditation required.

Meet the instructors-

Cindy Bowling, ERYT 500 was certified to teach Integrative Yoga Therapy in 1998. She also holds basic and advanced yoga teacher certification from It’s Yoga Cincinnati, and is on the faculty of the yoga teacher training program there. Cindy enjoys making yoga and meditation accessible to all people. She’s also a psychotherapist with a mindfulness-based approach, rooted in Eastern philosophies.

Doug Conley is a long-time meditation practitioner in the Zen Buddhist tradition. He has studied extensively with a number of well-respected Buddhist teachers, and has taught meditation internationally.
