Mudras are gestures of hands (sometimes including body) that enable us to tune into specific energetic frequencies. In Sanskrit mud means “delight” and dru means “to bring forth”. Joseph LePage, founder of Integrative Yoga Therapy states: “Mudras therefore bring out the innate experience of bliss which is within us, waiting to be discovered.”
In this workshop for yoga teachers, Julia will provide an overview of mudras and how they work. She will share with you how she incorporates mudras into her yoga classes and workshops, and how she uses them in private sessions. You will learn mudras for various physical ailments – such as digestive issues, heart conditions, asthma, and back pain, as well as for psychological issues – such as depression, anxiety, and overwhelming anger. In addition, Julia will teach you how to use mudras for self-care, to nourish yourself so that you can help others.
