Full Description

“High up in the foothills of the Himalayas we were reminded of the closeness of spirit of oneself - a rarefied atmosphere, conducive for reflection and connection.”

Nepal Yoga Retreat is situated 1500m at the top a mountain surrounded by a traditional Nepalese village. Facing the breathtaking grandeur of the Annapurna, Mardi Himal and Machhapuchchhre ranges of the Himalayas!! Surrounded by stunning scenery of rice terraces, jungle and traditional farming and village life.

On arrival, you’ll be greeted and looked after by an exceptionally warm and friendly family making you to feel at home during your stay. The greeting drink of organic herbal tea from their garden is delicious!

Morning and afternoon Hatha yoga classes with experienced yoga instructor Lucy Andrews. Variations in postures are given to accommodate individual requirements.
Yoga is practiced in the spacious yoga shala, where often just the sound of birds is heard.
Meditation, yoga nidra (deep relaxation) and workshops are included in the program.
Relax in the garden and enjoy local walks amidst rice terraces,
surrounded by this stunning scenery and magnificent views.

All accommodation is built from hand chiseled stone from the local area giving a traditional and authentic feel.
Rooms are mostly twin share / double, ideal for coming with a friend, couple or sharing with another solo guest. The rooms are very clean and comfortable.
Each room has ensuite bathroom with western toilet. Showers are taken by a bucket of hot water which is surprisingly lovely! All water is solar heated so the water temperature does vary.

Delicious, traditional Nepalese vegetarian food cooked with devotion and joy! Many of the vegetables are picked direct from their garden, fresh curd made from their two resident cows. The food is generous and nourishing.

Gather coffee beans direct from the garden (the eco lodge grows and roast their own coffee), pick chamomile flowers, have a Nepalese cooking lesson or simply immerse into the calming rhythm of rural and traditional life. It is truly a delightful authentic and friendly environment and experience.

It’s an area rich in diverse birdlife so bring binoculars if you’re keen on birds! Fabulous views of rich and colourful sunrises and sunsets.

You will leave feeling fed and nourished on every level.
