This Beginners series is designed to teach basic yoga poses in order to get stronger and more flexible in a safe, non-judgmental, peaceful environment.
Type of Event
This is a 5 week series on Saturdays beginning January 10th from 2-4:30.
This workshop is designed to teach you the basics of a yoga practice. You will learn how this practice incorporates not only the physical practice but breath work and meditation as well. Yoga is balance and this balance is what we all strive for in life! Come join us and find your balance!
You do not have to be flexible, or have any prior knowledge of yoga!
A regular practice offers numerous mental and physical health benefits.
Some, like improved flexibility, are clearly evident.
Others, including mental clarity and stress reduction, may be more subtle but are just as powerful.
When put together, all the benefits contribute to an increased feeling of well-being, which helps explain why so many people find yoga so addictive.
This Beginners series is designed to teach basic yoga poses in order to get stronger and more flexible in a safe, non-judgmental, peaceful environment. We will incorporate the rhythm of your breath, developing a sense of body awareness, and work toward a fully present state of mind to create the foundation for a powerful and lasting yoga practice.
Bring a mat and wear workout clothes. Shoes are not required.
