New Year Yoga Retreat with Carol Macartney

Full Description

Each day will explore the practice in in its fullest form. Morning sessions will begin with early Sadhana (meditation and pranayama) followed by at least two hours of Asana practice. Afternoon sessions will be around two hours, always ending with a short meditation practice. A special event will joyfully celebrate the New Year.

Carol’s yoga journey spans over twenty years with influences including Narayani (Sivananda tradition) Angela Farmer (Scaravelli inspired) and Clive Sheridan (Advaita Vedanta) which she incorporates into her own joyous practice and teaching. Welcoming students of all abilities, Carol offers Sadhana practice of meditation, pranayama, intuitive yoga flow asana and workshop time. Throughout her retreats there is an emphasis on self-enquiry through silent time and contemplation, as well as plenty of warmth and laughter.

There will be one afternoon and one morning off for resting or exploring. The renowned Andalucian cities of Granada, Ronda, Cordoba, Malaga, Nerja or Marbella, for example, are all within an accessible driving distance. There is also the fabulous Picasso Museum in Malaga. Local golf courses and horseback riding on the beach are available, as well as walks in the surrounding hills. Excursions can be arranged if requested.

Delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner provided on each day (apart from on any excursions). Vegetarian by default, some fish or meat can be provided if requested.
