The purpose of our holiday retreat is for you to rekindle your ‘joie de vivre’ in a spacious boutique setting. Arrive, let go and relax whilst we will take care of everything else. Your yoga sessions are carefully fashioned to help you get back to your exuberant self without the temptations of your schedule to distract you. The idea is we look within to then come out stronger by bridging the gap between our external and inner worlds. By weaving therapeutic interventions into our practices we cleverly nurture parts of our nervous system to improve physical and emotional balance. You will also learn innovative ways in which to use blocks, balls, bolsters and blankets for when you get home. Through the retreat experience, you will build a yoga home toolkit - a sustainable repertoire of hints and tips so you can use yoga as mind-body medicine.

The energy vibe of the morning is perfect for practicing vinyasa flow, and as the day progresses the change of pace by the afternoon is ripe for the more introspective practices like gentle/restorative yoga.

During your stay you will gain new in-sight into your mind-body network whether you are new to yoga or an experienced practitioner. To enhance this knowledge I organise an experienced massage therapist to visit during your stay. She in turn informs me where your body would respond to remedial work so I can tailor a personal practice just for you. This one-on-one personalised attention is unique in a retreat setting.

The large pool with cabanas and shaded lounge areas have been designed purely for relaxation. There is a bar with a cosy seating area for fresh juices or a glass of wine. The gardens provide a perfect space for strolling and to take in the bigger views. The house is in a typical village with a river beach in walking distance. You may just want to relax in the comfort of the house where there are many quiet lounge areas to snooze or read a book. A TV/movie room and a library/internet room is available for all guests. Wifi is with our compliments.

Creative vegetarian meals are freshly prepared with as much local produce as possible. Recipes are taken from River Cottage, Jamie Oliver, Yotam Ottolenghi and added to with the flair and passion of our cook. The meals are wholesome and delicious and served in the open plan kitchen dining room for a homely atmosphere.

Morning yoga is energetic with a pace set right for the group. The afternoon yoga is super therapeutic and restorative which makes our daily practice very balanced. At the close of our retreat you will have improved body awareness, learnt techniques to soothe your nervous system, gain insight about external influences and how they affect your well-being. You’ll have a notebook full of self-care practices and a few ‘goodies’ to take home to jog your memory when normal life resumes. Make your practice who you are not just what you do - Judith Lasater.
