Trip Advisor is a very good source of information regarding travel/transfers from all major airports to Lanzarote.

Please book early for best deals. Arrecife is the only airport on Lanzarote. It’s a very popular airport with many flights a day from many countries, all year round. Please shop around for the best deals, but you can try this FLIGHT SHOP to compare prices and airlines.

A very easy 25 minute cab ride across Lanzarote’s unique volcanic landscape to the retreat venue. Please contact Gina if you would like to hook up with others guests to share costs.

Car hire: For your freedom and convenience it is recommended you hire a car either for the week or for your day off on the Wednesday. You have 2 recommended companies:

AutoReisen – You can pick up a car at Arrecife airport (a basic car from 70 to 100 Euros per week) and deliver it back at the airport when you depart. After making the online reservation you’ll receive a confirmation and you pay once you get on the Island either with a credit or debit card.

Autos Plus Cars – are reliable and economical. By making your booking with the reference AMATISTA, you will benefit from free airport pick up/drop off and a free second named driver.

Contact Gina if you would like to share car hire costs.

Our groups enjoy the absolute tranquillity of the retreat as well as the pleasure to discover such a diverse island. Having a car is the best and most comfortable way to enjoy the unique volcanic landscape.

We will talk more about places to visit when you arrive but here is a taste…..

Magnificent Playa Famara and the fishing village. Famara is a popular yet wild surfing spot. The beach is immense, you can walk it for hours and be delighted by the amazing sunsets. The village has many surf schools and fish restaurants as well as a stunning view on the Soo Desert.

The ancient capital of Teguise is very worth a visit for the picturesque atmosphere, the typical Sunday market, the ancient castle and the cosy bars where you can enjoy one of the specialities of Lanzarote: the volcanic white wine!

Volcanic National Park of Timanfaya in the south of the island. Take a tour around the awe inspiring volcanic landscape.

Playa Blanca in the south is a great little town to explore as well as the wonderful beaches of Papagayo, Playa Mujeres, famous for the blue waters and white sands.

There are many more natural and cultural attractions: Jameos del Agua , La Cuevas de los Verdes , Mirador del Rio, Haría, Los Hervideros, the Cesar Manrique’s architectures.

Lanzarote is a fulfilling destination that offers a great balance between entertainment, culture, nature, peace and inner renewal. We so look forward to welcoming you!
