When we think of being “healthy,” we often think of a toned and physically fit body. But did you know that we are actually composed of four other “bodies” that make up our overall sense of well-being? According to the observations of ancient yogis, each of us is made of multi-dimensional bodies called koshas, with each layer being more subtle than the previous. These layers are the sheath of the physical body, the sheath of the breath and energy channels, the sheath of our thinking processes, the sheath of the higher intellect, and the sheath of unconditional bliss.
Join Elaine for an afternoon of exploration of our 5 bodies. In this workshop, you will:
- learn the fundamentals of nutrition and Ayurvedic guidelines for a healthy physical body
- explore the interplay of the physical body, breath, and energy sheaths through an enriching and mindful yoga sequence
- observe the flow of your thinking mind and develop an awareness of your deeper wisdom through guided meditation
- discover your inner senses of bliss, union, and vibrancy from the culmination of your practices
It is my pleasure to welcome Elaine to BlossOMing. I met her in San Francisco last fall when I dropped in on one of her classes. I was so impressed with her teaching that I immediately invited her to come teach at BlossOMing. She will be passing through this summer on a road trip and will be teaching two workshops. Please help welcome her to Nashville by attending one or both of her offerings. Elaine is a certified yoga teacher E-RYT 500, and a certified nutrition consultant.
