The retreat will take place September 22-26 at the Terlingua House in Terlingua Texas. Sessions will include yoga (with plenty of props), self care practice, FeldenkraisⓇ Awareness Through Movement class, and guided meditation through yoga nidra, We will be offering 4 or 5 classes per day along with free time to explore the beauty of Big Bend.
The early bird registration fee for the retreat is $500.00 until August 1, 2016. The regular registration is $575.00 after August 1st. This fee includes food and lodging. The house contains various beds ranging from a daybed to a queen sized bed, and is first come first serve. The earlier you register, the more bed selection you have.
We all need time to recharge ourselves from the busy lives we lead. If all the commitments you have in your life have left you feeling drained and unbalanced then this wellness retreat is for you. Take a break from all those commitments and make some time to refresh and renew at this 4 day retreat designed to help you hit the reset button and come back with a fresh start. We will be offering 4 to 5 wellness classes per day along with structured free time to explore the beauty of Big Bend. Our setting will be the beautiful Terlingua Guest house, minutes from the historic ghost town of Terlingua, Texas and with access to both the National and State Parks. Our wellness sessions will include yoga (with plenty of props), self care practice, FeldenkraisⓇ Awareness Through Movement class, and guided meditation through yoga nidra. The various self care practice classes will be offered by some of Austin’s finest, most experiened, wellness practitioners. We will lead a wide range of classes designed to meet everyone's needs and levels. The yoga practices will be led by Scott Roskilly and Lana Beránek. The styles will include: Vinyasa, Restorative, Yin, Flow, and Nidra. The self care practice, offered by Amy Myers, LMT, is designed to release aches and pains by breaking up scar tissue and increasing circulation utilizing tennis balls and foam rollers. FeldenkraisⓇ, Awareness Through Movement class, offered by Lisa Hueske, GCFP, is a technique that uses gentle movement to increase one’s awareness for preventative measure and/or to heal the body from the stresses of life, injury, or recovery from surgery. Amy Myers, in addition to being a licensed massage therapist, is also the owner of Amy’s Apothecary. She will be sharing some of her secrets while leading the group through making your own all natural deodorant and face masks.
