During this workshop we will explore anatomy of the hamstrings and hips and how they work, we will breakdown stretches and yoga postures that aid in gently opening the hips and lengthening the hamstrings.  Appropriate for the students of all levels. Modifications will be given as needed.

Come join Jennifer Hatcher to explore the anatomy of the hamstrings and hips and how they work, we will breakdown stretches and yoga postures that aid in gently opening the hips and lengthening the hamstrings.  There are many causes for tight hips such as stress, anxiety, sitting and even overdoing on a workout!  Tight hamstrings limit full hip extension, which rounds the back when we bend forward and can cause low back issues.  This workshop is open to all levels and designed for anyone who would like to be more open through the hips and hamstrings. We will start with the anatomy of the hamstrings and hips, do a brief yoga sequence to get ourselves warmed up, and following the warm up we will breakdown specific stretches and postures using props and offering modifications.
