Organic yoga retreat – Deepening into the practice

Aim of this weekend is to deepen into the asana-practice, to connect with the body’s inner voice and to enjoy nature. Allowing the practice to become a natural and “organic” experience. To give the students inspiration for their own regular practice home and to kindle their wish for exploring body and mind.

Organic 1
Aim of this weekend is to deepen into the asana-practice, to connect with the body’s inner voice and to enjoy nature. Allowing the practice to become a natural and “organic” experience. To give the students inspiration for their own regular practice home and to kindle their wish for exploring body and mind.

There is an inherent intelligence in the body that can lead us through movements and poses. It is a soft voice that knows exactly what we need and if we decide to follow it, the practice of asanas becomes a very deep experience. The asana practice shall be a nourishing moment, where we allow the body to express itself, to guide us towards the poses instead of pressing the body to given shape according to an idea of perfection.

This weekend we have the opportunity to get a little deeper into the asanas as we normally do in the classes and to obtain a wider understanding. First we will explore different ways to come into a pose and how to prepare it through specific movements; as movement is much more natural to the body than stillness. After we will indagate the stillness in the pose and how to use different supports like blocks, blankets, chairs and belts in order to ease the stay and to increase the benefits.

There will be also the space of sharing for asking questions and adapting the postures to the individual need. The practice is inspired in dynamic yoga form Godfrey Devereaux and Iyengar yoga.

The asana sessions from 10:30 – 13:00 and from 16:00 – 18:30 are meant to be little workshops where we share our experience and explore the possibilities of the proposed posture group.

The course will be hold in a gorgeous family farm, where we will have the opportunity to see how goat cheese is made and enjoy delicious homemade vegetarian food. There is a beautiful garden with many inviting places where to rest and allow nature to speak to us. Dwelling in nature reconnects us with nature within us: the body’s voice. Therefore we will use the space to have our practices outside whenever the weather allows it.

On Saturday night we will perform a full moon meditation and puja (ritual), using the magical moment of the full moon as it was done by many cultures in past and still is done nowadays in India and other countries. The ritual can be a powerful time to release, purify and transform.

The workshop will be taught in English and partly translated into Czech if required.
