Designed for two people, Partner Yoga postures utilize the forms and principles of individual postures while incorporating the presence of another to deepen the impact of the pose. As partners work together, supporting one another, Partner Yoga provides a forum for examining larger principles of self-understanding and relationship.
Thai Yoga Bodywork is an intimate practice designed to open the body physically, emotionally and energetically. When experienced with a partner, the bond of trust that already exists provides a space that is deeply supportive and nurturing.
Students will learn:
• Principles of partner yoga – verbal and non verbal dialogue
• Sequence of partner yoga poses that can be practiced at home
• Thai Yoga Bodywork techniques using the palms of the hands and thumbs
• Side-position and Seated Thai Yoga Bodywork addressing the legs, back and shoulders
It is recommended that you attend with a partner or friend, someone you are already comfortable with as this is a hands-on workshop. You are welcome to attend alone – please advise us in advance to ensure that there is a partner to pair with.
This workshop requires no prior Yoga or bodywork experience Pre-registration is required for this workshop as space is limited.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing you can move in, a yoga mat and water bottle. No prior yoga or bodywork experience necessary, although some exposure and familiarity with basic Yoga postures is helpful.
