Full Description

This event is on the calendar as part of PeaceQuest.
"PeaceQuest is a community-wide celebration in the Greater Lansing area held every September to celebrate the United Nations International Day of Peace, which was declared by the UN General Assembly with a resolution passed unanimously in 1981. PeaceQuest brings us ALL together for fun and interesting activities with friends, family, and community while focusing on ways we can promote peace, resolve conflicts, learn about other faiths and cultures, and encourage mutual understanding.

This year also marks the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which we will commemorate as part of PeaceQuest 2018."

“Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.”
- John Muir

Join in to plant “Seeds of Peace” within and around us as we start with a 15 minute mindfulness hike, followed by an outside yoga experience to round out our movement, nature and commUNITY elements of holistic health. Depending on the size of the group, we may play in group mandala yoga formations, linking hearts and hands to make collaborative patterns. All ages that can hold focused attention for one hour are welcomed to participate. Barefoot on the Earth is an option, or bring a big towel or yoga mat if you wish.

Nature + Yoga = Seeds of Peace ♥ :)
