Prana (Chakra) Yoga
Access, understand, and balance your chakras in this unique, homey class setting! We will chant and breathe our way through the postures, concluding with a guided chakra meditation.

This is a suggested donation. The price includes "chai & chat" - tea and conversation following class.
Prana Yoga, developed by Dr Jeff Migdow and Priti Robyn Ross, is a Hatha-like style with long hold times in each asana (yoga pose) and a focus on alignment and energy flow. In particular, Prana Yoga focuses our awareness on our Chakra System through the use of breath-work (pranayama) and sound (bija mantram).
Each yoga posture is associated with a different chakra (or more than one), and each chakra has a seed sound (bija mantra), which we chant while we're in an associated asana to help us truly "dive in" to that particular energy center. This class serves as an exploration of the subtle layer of our bodies, and provides a different experience for each practitioner. Come discover what it does for you!
