Pranayama Yogic Breathing/Meridians and Yin Yoga
We will begin the morning with some Pranayama (yogic breathing) that is the rhythmic practice and control of the breath, the fourth stage on Patanjali's eight fold path of Yoga. The practice focusses the mind and builds strength in the areas of sense withdrawal and single pointed awareness, bringing energy, strength and lightness to life.

During the second part of the workshop we will explore the Meridian system in the body, and engage these with some Yin yoga poses, discovering the complementary benefits of this practice to regular yoga asanas.
